How does the game work?
The format of the game is not that complicated. The Teer game is played six days a week, Monday through Saturday, however, Sunday is off.
There are two rounds in this game: the first and the second. In the first round, 50 archers shoot with 30 arrows each, and in the second round, the same 50 shooters shoot with 20 arrows each. The first-round results are released at 4:00 p.m., and the second-round results are released at 5:00 p.m. The timing changes with the seasons, summer and winter.

How Shillong Teer Legalized?
Under the Meghalaya Amusement and Betting Tax Act of 1982, the State government and the Chief Minister of Meghalaya officially regulated the game. Meghalaya Amusement and Betting Tax (Amendment) Act, 1982 looks after all legal factors of this Teer betting game.
